Contents Project Manager

Position Summary
The Contents Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of contents restoration projects, including evaluation, inventory, pack-out, storage, estimating, and move-back. This role combines leadership in the field with estimating and client/adjuster communication. The position requires someone who can organize and manage crews while also producing accurate estimates for insurance carriers and private clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead crews on job sites to evaluate, inventory, pack, clean, and return personal property (contents).
- Maintain organization, chain of custody, and documentation on all projects.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in contents restoration.
- Inspect losses, develop scopes of work, and prepare detailed estimates in Xactimate.
- Create diagrams and line items in Xactimate for submission to carriers and clients.
- Negotiate estimates and secure approvals from adjusters, clients, and third-party administrators (TPAs).
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and program requirements are met.
- Communicate clearly with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders regarding project scopes and progress.
- Identify and report potential hazards (asbestos, lead, mold, etc.) and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Ensure profitability and accuracy of projects by monitoring costs and documentation.
Requirements
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with contents restoration processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in Xactimate (including Sketch) and Microsoft Office; experience with restoration job software preferred.
- Previous estimating experience in insurance restoration (water, fire, smoke, storm, or related).
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage crews in the field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, professionalism, and organizational skills.
- Successful completion of a background and drug screening is a condition of employment
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends for emergency services.
