Role Overview
Lead BMS CAT’s strategic growth in the insurance vertical by owning key relationships with national & regional carriers, influencing restoration strategy, and setting sales targets. Act as a senior leader amplifying revenue through collaboration with marketing, operations, and executive teams. You’ll drive innovation in catastrophic mitigation and restoration while leading a high-performing, national-level insurance team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Leadership
- Set long-term vision and annual targets for insurance sales, linking compensation/incentives to performance metrics.
- Design and execute a dynamic go-to-market plan focused on brokers, adjusters, carriers, and consultants, securing high-value pipelines.
- Stay ahead of industry trends-claims mix, recovery needs, alternative solutions-and adapt strategy accordingly.
2. National & Enterprise Sales Management
- Build and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers at national/regional carriers and brokers; act as trusted advisor.
- Drive top-of-funnel engagement at major insurer events and conferences; represent BMS CAT as market thought-leader.
- Partner with Regional Directors and operations to ensure consistent deal closing and seamless service delivery.
3. Pipeline & Performance Optimization
- Manage CRM and pipeline health-forecasting, reporting, and targeting through Salesforce or equivalent.
- Implement KPIs (quarterly, annual), analyze conversion data, and iterate on lessons learned.
4. Client Retention & Expansion
- Support major accounts through upsell strategies and coordinate with ops to ensure delivery excellence.
- Structure annual reviews, performance audits, and carry out client satisfaction initiatives.
- Influence service levels and contract terms to maximize profitability and client loyalty.
Requirements
- 5+ years in sales leadership within the commercial insurance sector (broker, carrier, adjuster, or consultant), preferably P&C and restoration adjacent.
- Demonstrated success closing large, multi-million dollar commercial contracts.
- Extensive senior relationships across insurance carriers and broker networks.
- Deep knowledge of P&C coverages, claims processes, mitigation/restoration industry.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office suite, and CRM analytics.
- Strong strategic thinker, persuasive communicator, and data-driven decision-maker.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Sales/Marketing (MBA a plus).
Logistics & Compensation
- Travel: Up to 60% nationally, including conferences, broker meetings, and disaster response.
- Physical: Valid U.S. driver’s license; occasional lifting (equipment/fairs).
- Compensation: Competitive base + bonus tied to revenue performance.
